7 QUICK POINTS FROM THAT SHOW OF SHAME CALLED SOLIDARITY MATCH

Posted on August 18, 2022 By thTV Admin, Owerri No Comments on 7 QUICK POINTS FROM THAT SHOW OF SHAME CALLED SOLIDARITY MATCH

Someone once told me that most of Governor Uzodimma’s aides and allies are so starved of funds and left frustrated that the only way they can get money from him is by bringing a proposal that talks about how to harass Ihedioha or any other person they consider a threat. In fact, the guy once told me that my governor is so obsessed with Ihedioha that if you send him a proposal that you have someone who can go and defecate at Ihedioha’s doorpost, he will give you 50,000 dollars.

I didn’t take that story seriously until earlier today, a group of less than 1,000 unknown protesters were joined by key officials of the Imo State Government, including, the man who is unarguably, the most significant part of that government, an all-rounder in the 3R and the suicide-ready Thomas Wolsey of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri.

I didn’t take that carnival of hunger and frustration very seriously until I saw the man his friends, foes and fawners like to call Nasa. The Nkwere born Chief, unlike many other appointees and hangers-on in the 3R administration does not have anything to prove to the Uzodimma government, hence, if this carnival of shame wasn’t very important to the governor, you wouldn’t have seen Chinasa leading it. One can almost stake a bet with his salary that the governor personally requested for the protest match and every plan relating to the hiring and importation of the few people who participated in the march must have come directly from the Government House.

So, why would an incumbent governor be so insecure and frightful of his own authority that he had to import some people from outside the State to protest against his political opponents? Sincerely, I am loss of any answer to this question, but I can help to highlight some key revelations that can be deduced from that show of shame.

1. The governor is surrounded either by his greatest enemies or incompetent, unthinking aides and associates to have advised such a show at this inauspicious time in the State.

2. The governor might have been summoned to Abuja over clear evidences that he has failed, after close to three years, to win the confidence of Imo people, but in order to prove his accusers wrong, he instructed his lynchpins to organize a solidarity march for him.

3. By making Chief Emeka Ihedioha the focus of that show of shame, my governor has proven the claims by my friend as true and has sent a clear message to any political observer that he has identified those who pose the most threat to his political plans.

4. I have always maintained that the issue of insecurity shouldn’t be politicised, but I am disappointed that the same governor whom I have always applauded his efforts at trying to crush the hooligans disturbing the peace of Imo State would sponsor hooligans to go on a carnival in Imo State reducing the security situation to political play.

5. Instead of according any political capital to the governor, this disgraceful march rather brought worse embarrassment to the governor.

6. Most of the individuals who participated in this march are either not proud of their involvement in the march or were not properly briefed, as you can observe most of them trying to keep their faces away from the cameras.

7. For an incumbent not to have been able to effectively shut down the streets, even with the enormous resources allegedly invested into the mobilization efforts, should send a clear message that Imolites are tired of the Party and might be spoiling for the greatest resistance in the history of our politics.

MAY IMO WIN!
