Diaspora Group Protests In Abuja,Tells Court Not To Inaugurate Tinubu

Posted on May 9, 2023 By thTV Admin, Owerri No Comments on Diaspora Group Protests In Abuja,Tells Court Not To Inaugurate Tinubu

The Diaspora Medics For Good Governance and the UpNorth Ambassadors for Peter Obi have lent their voices in urging the court to stop the inauguration, on the premise that there are still several pending issues bothering on qualification and credibility of the APC candidate as well as challenging Yakubu Mahmoud’s declaration.

Security at the court of appeal was beefed up as the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal Abuja began the pre-hearing of the petitions challenging the outcome of the February 25th presidential election. According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress polled 8,794,726 votes to win the election. While Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party came second with 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi was third with 6,101,533 votes.

Not satisfied with the outcome, Atiku and Obi approached the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to annul Tinubu’s victory.

Diaspora Medics For Good Governance and the UpNorth Ambassadors for Peter Obi g through the Convener, Chigozie Ifeanyichukwu Alex said it decided to come out in their numbers to protest, challenging the declaration putting into consideration the following already established facts:

1. Bola Tinubu’s Drug Case and $460,000 forfeiture

2. The APC not having 25% of votes cast in FCT

3. Tinubu’s Forged certificate

4. INEC not following it’s election guidelines

5. Shettima’s double nomination

6. Flagrant Election Rigging

7. Tinubu’s Dual citizenship and perjury

They’re saying it’s unconstitutional to swear in a candidate who did not meet the constitutional requirements to be the President of Nigeria and therefore came out to the court of appeal to make the following demands:

1. That the Judiciary should not swear in Bola Ahmed Tinubu

2. That the Judiciary should conclude the case before May 29th 2023

3. That in a case where they can’t conclude the case before May 29th they should stop the inauguration till whenever the case is concluded

The Judiciary is the last hope of the common man and the fate of Nigeria lies on the shoulders of the Judiciary, the world is watching, our Judiciary should do the right thing.

The groups have vowed to keep showing up on each day of the court of appeal’s proceedings in anticipation that the judiciary does the right thing.
