The National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN) has bestowed a National Award on Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the President of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership (UCLDA Development in Africa (UCLDA) as the Beacon of Excellence for the Nigerian Youth.
The award ceremony was part of the activities organized by the Youth Council to mark the 2022 #InternationalYouthDay, a day set aside by the United Nations to celebrate the contributions of youths and to deepen the conversation about youth engagement and participation in governance and development.
In his speech, Comrade Solomon Adodo, President, National Youth Council of Nigeria – NYCN, said Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was chosen for this honor by the Youth Council because of his immense contributions to the development of Nigerian youths, citing over 5,000 youths who are today employers of labor, courtesy of the job creation programs of his foundation, the Ugwumba Leadership Center.
Responding, the Executive Director of the Ugwumba Leadership Center, Remy Chukwunyere who received the award on behalf of his boss appreciated the Council for the recognition and said that the new partnership with the youth body shall drastically reduce the unemployment crisis ravaging the youth population in Nigeria.

Among other Nigerian changemakers recognized at the ceremony was Dr. Daysman Oyakilome, the President of the United Youth Capital of Africa, who is leading a global revolution in innovation for Africa.
