Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti will officially churn out 5, 963 fresh graduates during its 27th convocation ceremonies slated to hold on Wednesday and Thursday, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Edward Olanipekun, has said.

Olanipekun said the institution would be awarding 74 diploma certificates; 5, 602 first degree; 80 MBBS and 207 postgraduates certificates.

The VC, who spoke during a press conference heralding the convocation ceremonies, added that “79 of the first degree graduands bagged first class degrees; 1,847 had second class upper, 3,343 had second class lower; 332 had third class while one had pass.”

Olanipekun also said the convocation lecture, titled, “The university system in Nigeria and the sustainability question,” would be delivered by a former VC of Osun State University, Osogbo.
